Oceanside, CA - Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Oceanside Blvd

Oceanside, CA (February 9, 2020) - In Oceanside, California on Saturday, February 8th, a truck made an illegal turn, fatally striking a motorcyclist. The crash happened at around 2:20 p.m. when a westbound motorcyclist on Oceanside Boulevard was hit by a truck making a left-turn while leaving the El Corazon Compost facility. The man riding the motorcycle, identified as a 53-year-old Oceanside resident, was killed in the crash.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officials. According to the Oceanside Police Department, the truck driver was arrested for gross vehicular manslaughter. The area was closed while emergency responders cleared the scene.

An ongoing investigation into the crash is being handled by OPD.
