San Diego, CA (April 29, 2020) - On Tuesday morning, April 28th, the driver of a truck failed to stop after hitting a pedestrian in downtown San Diego. The accident took place at the intersection of B Street and 8th Avenue at around 4:35 a.m. Witnesses from the scene contacted authorities and reported that a black Ford F-150 pickup truck hit a pedestrian and then sped down B Street. 

The victim was rushed to the hospital after emergency responders performed life-saving measures at the scene. The pickup reportedly dragged the pedestrian around a parking lot and then fled the scene. The injured pedestrian, believed to be a man in his 30s, was later pronounced dead. 

An ongoing investigation into the crash is currently in progress.
