Vista, CA - UPDATE: Vista Villa Dr Hit-&-Run Victim Identified

Vista, CA (February 11, 2020) - A wheelchair-bound pedestrian who was struck and killed in a hit-and-run accident on Sunday, February 2nd, in Vista, California has been identified by local authorities. The 43-year-old man was hit near the corner of Vista Village Drive and Wave Drive. Brian Wayne Conner was hit by a northbound vehicle on Vista Village Drive at around 12:20 a.m. 

Conner was pronounced dead at the scene by responding paramedics. The last account of the driver indicates that he was traveling north on Vista Village Drive following the accident. No other details on the driver are known at this time.

Local law enforcement officials are currently conducting an investigation into the cause of the crash. No other updates have been provided.
