Speeding-Related Crashes in California
When you speed, you put yourself at an increased risk of being injured in a crash. It’s a fact that drivers are less able to control their vehicles traveling at high speeds, and the safety functions of a car are less effective when involved in high-speed impacts. Thousands are killed each year in the aftermath of speeding-related crashes.
In California, 925 people were killed by speeding drivers in 2017. These injuries are much more severe than typical crashes due to the force of impact. In some cases, injured parties can recover lost compensation by contacting a qualified California car crash attorney.
