Fallbrook, CA – UPDATE: 2 Victims Identified in Deadly I-15 Bus CrashSan Diego Legal News
Fallbrook, CA (February 24, 2020) – Two out of the three victims killed in a devastating charter bus rollover earlier this week in Fallbrook, California have been identified. The accident originally took place on Saturday morning, February 22nd, when a bus rolled over into an embankment near CA-76 while traveling on I-15. Maria de la Luz Diaz, 67, of Riverside, California, Julia Perez Cornejo, 73, of Pasadena, California, and a 23-year-old woman from Mexico were reportedly killed in the crash.
At least 18 others were seriously injured in the accident. The California Highway Patrol reported that injured parties were transported to numerous medical facilities, including Palomar Medical Center, Temecula Valley Hospital and Inland Valley Medical Center. A five-year-old boy reportedly suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash.
An ongoing investigation into the collision is currently in progress.
