Hit-&-Run Accidents in California
Few accidents are more traumatic than hit-and-run accidents. In 2016, there were 369 fatal hit-and-runs reported in California, accounting for 9.6 percent of roadway fatalities that year. That’s the highest figure since reporting began in 1975.
Drivers who commit a hit-and-run are usually liable for covering the costs of the victim’s damages. These crashes are often devastating and leave victims with life-threatening injuries. Injured parties may feel they lack legal recourse for their injuries.
