Deadly Pedestrian Crashes in California
Despite measures taken to protect pedestrians on the roadways of California, too many pedestrians are killed each year after being struck by oncoming vehicles. Pedestrian fatalities have been on the rise throughout the state in recent years.
From 2006 to 2016, around 8,000 pedestrians were killed in car accidents. The pedestrian fatality rate in California is nearly 30 percent greater than the national average. In some cases, surviving family members may be eligible to recover lost compensation.
