Oceanside, CA – UPDATE: Victim Identified in Fatal N Coast Hwy Crash
Oceanside, CA (January 30, 2020) – The identity of a victim who was killed in a deadly pedestrian crash in Oceanside, California has been released by authorities. Juan Muniz, 22, was killed Sunday morning, January 26th, after being hit by an oncoming vehicle on North Coast Highway near Sportfisher Drive. Authorities were notified of the accident at around 1:10 a.m.
Muniz was attempting to cross North Coast Highway when he was struck by a northbound vehicle. Muniz was rushed to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the vehicle, William Vaden, 31, was taken into custody under suspicion of DUI.
An ongoing investigation into the crash is currently in progress.
