San Diego, CA – Critical Pedestrian Crash at Midway Dr & Rosecrans St
San Diego, CA (March 16, 2020) – A 49-year-old man was seriously injured after being struck by an SUV at an intersection in San Diego. Local reports indicated that the accident happened just before 3:55 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, March 15th. The pedestrian was crossing at the intersection of Midway Drive and Rosecrans Street when he was hit by a 2018 Mazda CX5.
According to local authorities, a 51-year-old woman was driving the SUV south on Rosecrans Street when she hit the pedestrian. The injured victim was transported to a hospital for the treatment of multiple injuries, including a skull fracture, a laceration to the back of the head, and a fractured right ankle.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with responding authorities. An ongoing investigation into the crash is currently in progress.
