San Diego, CA – Head-On Injury Collision near Lincoln Park High
San Diego, CA (May 12, 2020) – Two drivers reportedly suffered injuries following a head-on collision in San Diego on Monday, May 11th. The crash occurred in front of the Lincoln Park High School on Imperial Avenue, east of 47th Street, at around 9:15 p.m. One vehicle entered oncoming traffic and collided head-on with another car.
Initial reports revealed that a 1993 Toyota Corolla driven by a 45-year-old man was traveling west on the eastbound lanes of Imperial Avenue. The Toyota veered into the path of a 1999 Toyota Rav4 SUV driven by a 19-year-old girl. Both drivers were transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment.
Intoxication may have played a role in the crash. An ongoing investigation into the accident is currently in progress.
