Hit-&-Run Crashes in California
Hit-and-run accidents often leave victims without necessary medical treatment for sustained injuries. In 2016, there were 337 fatal hit-and-run accidents reported in California. This is the highest rate ever experienced in the state.
Since 2009, the rate of fatal hit-and-runs in the state has increased by 60 percent. These crashes overwhelmingly impact pedestrians or those standing at the side of the road. In some cases, injured parties can pursue lost compensation with the help of a San Diego hit-and-run attorney.
