San Diego Motorcycle Accidents
With the greater degree of freedom that comes with motorcycles comes a greater risk of injury. 5,286 people were killed in motorcycle crashes across the country in 2016, up 5.1 percent from 2015. Statistics show that a motorcyclist is 28 times more likely to die in a crash compared to those traveling in passenger vehicles.
By design, motorcycles offer little protection to their riders. That means riders are likely to suffer severe injuries in the event of a crash. In some cases, injured parties can consult with a qualified California motorcycle crash attorney to pursue lost compensation.
