San Diego, CA – Motorcyclist Critically Injured on Pomerado Rd
San Diego, CA (May 2, 2020) – An 18-year-old motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries following a collision in the Rancho Bernardo area on Thursday afternoon, April 30th. The collision occurred at the 16600 block of Pomerado Road near Rancho Bernardo Road. The motorcyclist was traveling westbound when he was hit by an eastbound 2008 blue Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by an 80-year-old woman.
According to local reports, the Chrysler made a left turn onto Caminito Vecinos and into the path of the motorcycle. The rider collided with the front passenger door and was ejected from the bike. The victim was transported to a nearby medical facility in critical condition.
No other injuries were reported. Local authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
