San Diego, CA – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Train at Frontage Rd
San Diego, CA (February 19, 2020) – A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a train near Lindbergh Field in San Diego on Tuesday, February 18th. The crash occurred that afternoon near the intersection of Frontage Road and Washington Street in the Middletown district. The crash happened at around 4:15 p.m. when a train struck a man who was crossing the tracks.
Authorities reported to the scene to assist. The train was unable to avoid hitting the pedestrian who was crossing at the tracks. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by the responding officials.
No further updates have been provided. Local law enforcement officials are conducting an investigation into the accident.
