San Diego, CA – Pedestrian Injured at Claremont Mesa Blvd & Santo Rd
San Diego, CA (February 20, 2020) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in the Tierrasanta area of San Diego on Wednesday, February 19th. Reports revealed that the 35-year-old man suffered severe facial injuries that will likely require reconstructive surgery. The accident occurred at the corner of Claremont Mesa Boulevard and Santo Road at around 7:40 p.m.
Initial reports revealed that the victim was walking westbound on Claremont Mesa Boulevard when he was struck by a 2007 Toyota Yaris. He was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. The 51-year-old woman driving the Toyota was driving with a suspended license at the time of the accident.
An investigation into the crash is being handled by local authorities.
