Spring Valley, CA (April 8, 2020) - A postal worker experienced a medical episode in Spring Valley, California, sending his mail truck crashing into a liquor and grocery store at around 11 a.m. The postman was killed in the crash, and a patron of the grocery store was reportedly injured. The accident took place on Tuesday, April 7th, at the 9500 block of Jamacha Boulevard. 

Emergency responders freed the 50-year-old man from the mail truck and attempted to perform CPR. He was transported to Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, California where he was later pronounced dead. An injured party at the scene was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego for the treatment of serious injuries. 

An ongoing investigation into the crash is currently in progress.
