California Pedestrian Accidents
Pedestrians are guaranteed to suffer worse when involved in a crash with a motor vehicle. Those traveling in cars are protected by a metal frame in the event of a crash, while pedestrians will often only have the clothes on their backs. It’s no wonder that pedestrian crashes often result in fatal or life-threatening injuries.
The pedestrian fatality rate in California is astoundingly 30 percent higher than the national average. More than 14,000 pedestrians were injured in the state in 2016 alone. Injured victims should consult with a qualified California pedestrian injury lawyer to discuss possible compensation.
