San Diego, CA – Deadly Pedestrian Crash at I-5 & Cesar Chavez Pkwy
San Diego, CA (March 21, 2020) – A pedestrian was struck and killed in San Diego late Sunday evening, March 15th. The crash took place on I-5 near the intersection with Cesar Chavez Parkway. California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of the accident.
Authorities reported that the pedestrian was hit by multiple vehicles following the initial collision. It’s unknown why the victim was on the highway at the time of the accident. It’s unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
CHP is currently investigating the cause of the accident.
