San Diego, CA (March 6, 2020) – Authorities are currently seeking information on the driver who fatally struck a 21-year-old woman on Thursday, March 5th, in Otay Mesa, California. The crash occurred at the intersection of Otay Mesa and Cactus Roads at around 9:15 a.m. The victim, identified as Brescia Ayon, was crossing in a crosswalk when she was struck by a Nissan Altima.
Ayon was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Altima fled the scene, according to local reports. The Nissan was last seen traveling north on Heritage Road significant damage to the front passenger side.
Any information on the crash would assist authorities’ investigation into the accident, which is currently in progress.
