Deadly Wrong-Way Crashes in California
Wrong-way crashes are exceedingly rare, but when they do happen, they are known to result in life-threatening or fatal injuries. Overwhelmingly, wrong-way drivers are intoxicated or confused, unaware that they’re driving in the wrong direction. The reckless actions of these drivers can pose a serious risk to themselves and others.
In the United States, an estimated 355 people are killed in crashes each year involving a driver traveling the wrong way down the highway. The resulting injuries are often fatal, placing the burden of the crash on surviving family members. In some cases, a skilled California wrongful death lawyer can help families recover deserved compensation.
